I had the opportunity to photograph a set of executive environmental portraits and headshots for Tipalti, a California-based software company. The shoot was done in their Vancouver office during an annual meeting visit, bringing together the team from different cities.
Collaborating with their Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and creative team was a rewarding experience. Pre-planning discussions paved the way for a smooth in-person meeting, which allowed us to align our visions effectively. Many of the larger clients I work with typically have their own marketing and branding teams. Tipalti’s creative approach was refreshing, and their team’s involvement in the shoot demonstrated a clear understanding of their brand’s image and intended use for the images. In their case, they were going to use the images on numerous future collateral and wanted room to work with the images. A few samples of the final images are below.
For this shoot, the brief was clear, and it was a pleasure to collaborate with someone on their team who regularly handles their videos. Her insight into the shoot’s purpose and style was invaluable. Prior to their arrival, a tour of their office space in downtown Vancouver helped us determine the best areas for the headshots and portraits. Their desire to showcase their beautiful office space in the heart of the city was evident, and we aimed to capture this ambiance in the images.
Environmental portraits, whether taken indoors or outdoors, aim to capture the subject within their environment. In this case, flashes were strategically used to illuminate both the subjects and their surroundings, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the images.
If your team is seeking new corporate or business headshots, I invite you to reach out to discuss your vision. I can collaborate with you and help create images that align with your brand identity and showcase your team’s professionalism.
